What NOT to buy!!!
You already know (or maybe you are just now learning) that we use:
No Petrochemicals
No Phosphates or Sulfates
No Artificial Preservatives
No Animal Cruelty
Recyclable packaging
and we are Biodegradable
If you have ever spoken to a Daisy Blue Naturals Consultant you also know we don't tell you WHAT to use....we educate folks on WHAT NOT to use! Daisy Blue Naturals is all about Educating the public on the dangers of commercial skin care ingredients...because we care. We really do. We have signed on at Safe Cosmetics Campaign and Leaping Bunny.
We are not here to just sell skin care...we want to change the skin care industry!!! We want safer products for our family and friends...we truly want to make a difference.
In that light, here are some ingredients to stay away from (check your labels!)
For more information on the safety of skin care products visit: http://www.ewg.org
Deet – by federal law, products containing deet must include a list of 12 warnings and regulations for use!
Bismuth Oxychloride – a heavy element which clogs pores and irritates skin
Propylene Glycol (PPG) – A derivative of natural gas. It is irritating to the skin and mucous membranes. Used because it is very CHEAP.
Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, and other Petro-chemicals – by-products of making gasoline, they clog our pores and suffocate our skin. Used in skin care only because they are unbelievably CHEAP.
Phthalates – used in fragrances, nail polish, and plastics. They are known as "endocrine disruptors" because they mimic the body's hormones. They are a common allergen (that fragrance that makes you sneeze…) , can damage the liver, the kidneys, the lungs, and the reproductive system .
Triethanolamine (TEA) and Diethanolamine (DEA) –Known skin, eye, and mucous membrane irritants. Studies have shown TEA and DEA rob the brains ability to make memory cells, leading to brain damage and memory loss. As with any amines, it has potential to create nitrosamines, which is a known carcinogen.
Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone – used because it is CHEAP. You may see the claim “derived from sand.” Not exactly! It can orginate from silicon crystals (of synthetic or natural origin) that are then reacted with methyl chloride, another chemical that is known to be bad for our health and environment.
Artificial Preservatives (parabens, DMDM Hydration, Ureas, azoles) – according to the American Academy of Dermatology, these ingredients have been shown to be a primary cause of contact dermatitis and allergic reactions. Also, parabens can mimic estrogen in our bodies, which is known to play a role in breast cancer.
EDTA (Disodium EDTA, Tetrasodium EDTA) –There are concerns with these ingredients due to the “amine” structure of the chemical.
Sulfates (Sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl/laureth sufates, tetrasodium sulfate) – synthetic detergents, they add bubbles very CHEAPLY to shampoos, bubble baths, and body washes. They most commonly cause skin irritations, and rashes. There are NO naturally derived sulfates!
Phosphates – Major cause of skin irritations and allergic reactions.
FD&C and D&C colors – known carcinogens.

Outline of an Email Party
How to Run an Email Party
What does it look like?
Email Parties look like home parties - without the home!!!
The Consultant sends One Party email sent each morning to guests
My Email Contains:
1. Games: of Chance (bingo, lottery, keno etc); Treasure Hunt/Clue (give clues/hints about products and guests have to answer what it is etc.
2. Points Game
(I give points for asking product questions, asking bus. quest., buying products, hosting etc)
3. Yesterday's Winners
4. Yesterday's questions/answers
*basic recap of all mails recv'd)
*advantages*
*There is no travel required -
people participate at home, work, coffee house - wherever they are!
*There is no Time Constraint -
Guests can play over morning coffee, at lunch, in the evening - whenever they check their email
Previous guests have stated that they look forward to opening their mail to see if they won anything! Guests have days to browse catalogs, ask questions, and decide on purchases
*There is no space restraint -
You can fit as many people as you want on the internet (unlike your studio apt!)
The only real disadvantage is that you don't get to try product first - but Daisy Blue Naturals has a 30 day Money Back guarantee on everything!
How to set up and Run the Party
1. Hostess or Mystery Hostess?
this only matters on prizes and giveaways - who get's what
2. Use http://www.Evite.com to invite guests - invite everyone you or your hostess has in the address book!
3. Day of Party:
send Welcome to the Party email explaining rules
send 1st Party email
(game/s - I highly encourage using some sort of points game or treasure hunt...get the guests involved!)
*you will receive emails with questions - game answers etc - to keep it all straight I copy and paste these to a draft email as I get them!
4. 2nd and following days
Your Daily email will contain:
1st that day's game or challenge
yesterdays recap:
questions asked/answered
who signed up to host
(put it out there and then when parties over invite them to the next hosts party!)
Bonus winners etc!!!
I also throw a Top 3 - the people who have the point lead in a mystery hostess party!
Party Total
5. Day after the close of the party -
Thank everyone for a fun and successful party!!!
List all the winners throughout the party (sort of like a curtain call)
Mystery Hostess party - announce your winner!!!
Hostess - let everyone know her gifts and thank them for being such good friends and family!!!
The last round of questions/answers etc.
remind everyone that they will be receiving
invoices via PayPal, RME, Email or how ever else you decide and that payment is due by end of day (or whenever you choose)
After packages go out...I always send a follow up Thank You card to let them know the products have shipped - to thank them once again - and invite them to host their own party.
About 2 weeks later follow up with a call (or email if no phone #) to see how they like their products - invite again to host/consider a new business!!!

Product Hints and Tips
Daisy Blue Product Hints, Tips, and Alternative Uses
Alphabetical - New Entries Marked *NEW*
Daisy Breeze Laundry SoapAlphabetical - New Entries Marked *NEW*
One of our most versatile products - this soap can really help simplify your spring cleaning!!!
Safe for surfaces and your family!
Try these recipes:
· Soft Scrub:
- ½ cup baking soda
- Mix with Daisy breeze Laundry Soap (frosting-like consistency)
- Add 5 drops Bulgarian Lavender Oil or Australian Tea Tree Oil (optional)
· Household Cleaner:
- Fill spritzer bottle with water
- 1Tbs Daisy Breeze Laundry Soap
- 2 drops Australian Tea Tree (Optional - for anti-bacterial cleaner)
- ¼ cup vinegar (optional)
· Liquid hand soap. It works great when you all just a little bit of water to thin it slightly.
· Floor cleaner - wood and linoleum
Dilute in water and mop away! I like the flat terry cloth type mops.
· Carpet cleaner - Add some lemon essential oil if it is a light colored carpet as lemon oil whitens
· Stain remover - Pour it directly on stains before washing, rub in and let sit for a few minutes.
Car Wash - It removes bugs and road tar without leaving a film. Also gentle on the hands.
Consider how many chemical based products you could eliminate, the money you'd save and the simpler your chores could be with just one bottle of Daisy Breeze Laundry Soap !!!!
*NEW* Mineral Make-Up
- Mix normal shade or one shade lighter with a very small amount of Rejuvenate Cream for a concealer/eye cream combo!
- Use the mahogany as a bronzer for light to medium skin tones. Use the Bronzer on top of normal foundation color.
- Spray on skin and clothing for a mosquito repellent
- Always use a Soap Dish that keeps soap dry and away from water.
- Cutting your soap in thirds will make your soap last even longer! Store the rest in the box. Our soap gets better with age!
- Rosemary Mint bar soap can be used as a shampoo.
- Every purchase of Shea Butter Bar - contributes to Kids Inspiring Kids. A charitable organization helping the children in Uganda!
- Spray on hair when you get out of the shower - for a great detangler
